Night Lights

Night Lights

This was originally posted on the now-defunct Random Fury! videogame blog. Hello everybody, welcome to another Random Game Friday. Seeing as it is Friday, here's a random game: Night Lights. Now, this game is pretty similar to a lot of other games I've played on here - I don't try to pick ones like this all the time, honestly! Anyway,…

When you think about things in ways you never expected…

…because you did something stupid.

I feel like I may need to elaborate a little more on what I wrote yesterday – it was a little obtuse. It’s all very well me saying that I don’t want to do this or do want to do that, but if I don’t act on it then things will never change. The only person who can change me is me. The only person who truly gets value from a motivational quote is someone who understands it and acts on it. My viewpoints on a lot of things have changed – some recently, some a long time ago. I drew a couple of Adventure Time sketches the other day. I used to have a hang-up about fan-art, in that if it didn’t look exactly as the original creator or an authorised, in-house artist had drawn it, then it was “bad”. Like a lot of other childish viewpoints I used to hold, this has slowly evaporated over time, and I have come to realise the importance of an artist translating characters into their own unique visual style.

Happy 25th Gameboy-day!

So, the GameBoy is 25 years old today, what a way to make me feel old. I remember when I got my first Gameboy - although I can't pinpoint the exact dates, I roughly know the period. I had left school, and finished college, it must have been between me working at House of Toys in Debenhams and going back…
TimeSwap

TimeSwap

This was originally posted on the now-defunct Random Fury! videogame blog. Random Game Friday this week features a nice little game called TimeSwap. As expected with a title like that, the game is based on time-manipulation - the first five minutes are great fun as you shift back and forth seemingly at random, but it soon takes the form of…

Friday update 18/4/14

Jees, we're over halfway through April already! Only two videos on the YouTube channel this week, one Dark Souls, one Halo World Tour. RGF is TimeSwap, a platform game in which you can swap time. I don't really have much to say this week, it's been a bit of a downer to be honest. Asda has been physically demanding over…

Friday update 11/4/14

Jane is well, Flipper is well, he/she is the size of a mango now, incredible. Apparently they are going to grow a lot over the next couple of weeks, so that's cool. Might give Jane a milk protein shake, think of all those lovely new person building materials! I managed to squeeze in an entire play-through of Rez HD on…
Vortex Point

Vortex Point

This was originally posted on the now-defunct Random Fury! videogame blog. So, what is this week's game? It is... Vortex Point! Now, with this being a point and click mystery-type game, I will have to try and explain it without giving too much of the story away... This is going to be difficult. It does everything that a point and…
A Ghostly Journey

A Ghostly Journey

This was originally posted on the now-defunct Random Fury! videogame blog. Hello! This week's RGF is A Ghostly Journey, which is essentially: a journey that you make as a ghost. Quite a bland title, but that does sum up the game pretty well. Bland. Don't get me wrong, it's a solid game, with well thought-out player abilities, and level design…
