Hello everybody, welcome to another Random Game Friday. Seeing as it is Friday, here’s a random game: Night Lights.
Now, this game is pretty similar to a lot of other games I’ve played on here – I don’t try to pick ones like this all the time, honestly! Anyway, Night Lights is a platforming game in which light can instil various properties into your surroundings. Manipulate the light with switches – they can be turned on and off, or moved on an axis, or even picked up and used like a torch – and reach your goal.
The game is quite pernickety – there is some ropey collision detection in there, and the controls are not as tight as I’d like them to be. You may have seen from the single screenshot that the art style is like a monochrome version of Fez – there is no pseudo 3D rotation here though, just straight up 2D platform manipulation.
