In what is turning into a weekly moan about the people who live in this house with me, I’m getting used to not having any privacy at all any more. It seems like every five minutes I’m being visited by a small child who comes in and moans and cries when I tell him “I’m playing a game which involves a lot of swearing, blood and zombies, no you can’t watch me”, or I’m being asked to look at a Match Attax Trading Card Game Collector’s Album, or I’m being visited by an even smaller child who insists that I have to either plug a PSone controller into my 360 so he can “play too” or I am urged that I turn what I’m playing off and put the Madagascar DVD on instead. No matter how many times Ethan runs up the stairs, Claire never seems to want to put the stair gate up. She just tells him off, by threatening to chase and kiss him. Turn it into a game and he’ll never learn to do as he’s told.
Changing tack, I have decided to set myself a Gamerscore target of 50,000 for 2010. I’m currently on about 38,000 – after I’ve finished off Onechanbara and Mirror’s Edge (as best I can) I should be close to 40,000. I recently got a bunch of games that are not exactly great, but supposedly quite easy to get the full 1000 points from. One of them (Beowulf) was so bad that I couldn’t bring myself to finish it. I don’t mind playing competent, easy games to full completion, and I like playing good games that I quite enjoy (but only getting as much Gamerscore from them as my skill level allows), but I draw the line at games that are just plain bad.
In other news, it was Paul’s Birthday today. He was not invited round for the occasion or anything. How nice.
