Four bags!

I filled four bags with my old clothes. Crazy. It was mostly old stuff that doesn't fit anymore, but some of it I don't think suited me nowadays, or wouldn't suit the person I'm projecting my self to be. Also sorted out my supplements for the next two weeks and had a tidy. Threw out a lot of stuff. Plan…

Taking another year off

I'm finding myself in that situation again this academic year, mainly thanks to coronavirus this time around rather than financial worries. But this time, I can see it coming, and I won't lose focus. I won't waste this year. I've got things I need to do to be ready for starting the level 4 counselling course next September. See, after…

My thoughts and experiences with Fitbits

After using a variety of Fitbit devices over the last couple of years, I thought it was about time I talked about them, and how they have helped me to keep track of my fitness goals. My first Fitbit was a Charge HR, and I bought that in September 2016. I loved it! Seeing how many steps I had done…

2014 in review

I'm just making little summaries of the posts as I transfer them across to this blog from my old one, paying attention to key moments and looking out for the overarching themes. I knew something had to give. The first few posts of 2014 concerned the targets I was setting for myself. This one was interesting: For too long I…

n00b gainz

Exercising is fun, and as the title suggests, I've made some n00b gainz. My trousers are looser, so I've clearly lost some belly fat. My weight has remained the same however, so I have built some muscle. I do feel like I need to go more than once a week to cement these gainz in the long run though. And…

Friday update 22/8/14

It's been yet another quick week. Little baby Stewart is due in three weeks if you can believe that - we're hoping that he or she comes a bit sooner than that because now is an ideal time, what with Claire and the kids being away. It would just be a quieter, more relaxed atmosphere for us to introduce the…

Bi-yearly update 2014

Hey, this is going to be an epic update, a half-year special so to speak. I’m going to go back and take a look at the targets I made at the start of the year and see how I’m doing with them.

With regards to the Fitness Targets – I’ve done nothing. I don’t know why. Can I not be bothered? Or do I feel like I should be doing something else? I think I feel like I should be drawing or recording videogame footage, but then, I don’t really spend enough time doing those things either, so I have no idea. I reckon I should draw up a timetable, allocate my time. It would illustrate that I have more time than I think I have. But then again, now I’ve said that I’ll put off drawing it up and won’t change until I’ve drawn it up. And a plan like that is ridiculous to think about now seeing as something that I never imagined would happen at the start of the year is happening…

365 days

It's been 365 days since I last had a cigarette, and I feel terrible. Not because of not smoking, that is undoubtedly a good thing. It's because I've essentially replaced nicotine with sugar. Yep, instead of going outside and inhaling some fast-acting nicotine smoke, I'm able to stay inside and comfort myself with some feel-good chocolate, or have a lovely…
