September. September already.
So, Monday was a bit scary. We took Gizmo to the vets in the morning (he’s breathing very heavily at the moment), found out he could either have something in his lungs or he simply has a chest infection. Jane didn’t sleep very well the night before (she had a weird kind of bad headache which defies all logic. Oh, and some contractions, maybe?), and I joked to her on the way home that I’d have a shower then we’d go up the hospital to deliver Flipper. I had a shower, and Jane was being sick, bless her, so we phoned the hospital. Then went up there. And waited for a bit. Waited some more. Then eventually had a Midwife running some tests on Jane and the baby – all was well in the end though.
RGF is an old favourite this week – Squares 2. The VGMRotW is a delightful remix of the Special Stage from Sonic 2 by JemenJ. Dark Souls – Jolly Co-Operation is up to part 9 now, this week I travel through Anor Londo. And my Sonic 2 playthrough comes to an end with me having a go at some of the speedrun Achievements. Do I make it?
I wrote that lot up there on Monday night, trying to get ahead of myself. I’m now writing this on Friday night, rather than my usual late Thursday night (to be published very early Friday morning), because Gizmo passed away yesterday. I was so physically drained from working long hours, and mentally drained from the emotional turmoil of soon becoming a father and losing a friend I had had for over ten years, with a monster headache from crying so much because we just lost a part of our lives, that at about 8pm I took a codeine tablet and just went to sleep for fourteen hours. I needed it.
I will write up a full post on him and his life later next week, I’m in no state to be writing too much right now, I am sorry.
