Wow.
What a week I’ve had. I had two morning workouts, taken my supplements every morning, and I’ve felt motivated to DO STUFF, which I really have not felt for a long time. It’s a nice feeling.
I’ve bought some domains, and both have functioning websites on them. One even has Woo Commerce turned on and is integrated with Gelato, that’s how serious it is. I bought a couple of shirts with some makeshift designs on them just to see the quality, and they are actually pretty good. It’s a merch shop based on a broad spectrum of YouTube videos while still being quite niche, that is pretty much not catered for at the moment. Neither of the websites are anywhere near ready to be shown off yet, but this is the first place you’ll find the links, I’m sure.
Jake made one of the designs for the sample shirts, and while I’m not going to use it on the final versions, it is really endearing. And of course, he is thrilled that he has a t-shirt that he designed himself. I made the first mock-ups of a logo one night this week, took me about three hours or so of getting used to Paint.net again for me to do the first version. The second version took about two hours, and I was quite happy with it. But after sleeping on it, I decided I was not happy with it, so knocked up another one while Jake watched in about an hour. This one was so good we decided to keep it as our final design. It felt really good to be creative again. I’m motivated to DO STUFF.
I want to build a front page for this website with sections for my different projects eventually. There’s no point doing it now as the only one that is in any kind of finished form is the YouTube channels, and to be honest, I’m not in a position to be proceeding full steam into them right now. I’ve got more pressing matters than promoting videos of me playing videogames. I’ve also had more ideas about what kind of things I could sell online, and have been looking into starting a proper company… It’s crazy times.
Doing this update/progress post on a Sunday just makes sense, as I do see Sunday as the last day of the week, and Monday as the beginning of a new week. Targets for the next week are to work on the niche website, get some designs on there and actually start selling. Considering how far I’ve come in the last week, that doesn’t sound so far-fetched.
