Hello again, it’s RGF time, and this weeks random game is… Fishy Waters! A game about fishing, in water! As if you could not have guessed that from the title.
You play as a young girl on a boat, and your task is to catch fish. Catch enough fish to fill up your boat then go and sell them. Buy upgrades with this money to make catching fish easier and enable yourself to catch more fish at once, and thus, make more money. See where this is going? Catching the various fish is easy enough, when you are in the space above them hit the space bar and complete the little arrow-key QTE. The QTEs that the fish throw at you get harder to catch as you go along, but also easier once you buy the next level of fishing rod. You can also buy shortcuts and access to harder areas.
All in all, I just felt like I was progressing through a linear story in which my success was guaranteed. I was quite bored, but at the same time, felt obliged to fill up my boat over and over, just to purchase the next upgrade or unlock the next route.
