After the madness of my cousins wedding and the holiday with the boys, I feel I need to streamline my existence, have a good sort out and tidy everything up. I started today (whilst catching up on Peep Show – the tail end of series 6 and start of series 7), just general organisational things really, and I have next week off to really get into it. It’s silly things really, from getting rid of t-shirts that are far too baggy, to putting all my books in one place for the sake of tidyness, to taking all the crap shit I don’t listen to off my mp3 player and putting all the cool shit I do listen to on there.
I also want to create a new skin for the forum, it’s a long-standing dream, and one that I am fairly daunted by. There’s a lot more work to it than first appears. You’ve got the index pages, view topic pages, reply pages, who is online pages, private message pages, moderator control panel pages (which are very numerous)… So I may not bother, and just customise an existing one. I was toying with porting it over to BBpress, but it’d be too risky. mySQL tables are fragile little things. I’m also toying with the idea of moving hosting providers. If I went with another provider I could have everything I have now without the annoying bandwidth limits, for slightly less £ a month. It’s tempting, but it’s hassle.
I have next week off as well, so I should be able to make decent progress. I intended to polish off my Gamerscore target this week, so as to leave next week free for organisation, but I was thinking about where and how to organise things so much that I just started organising!
