I was never totally enamoured with the Kodak Easyshare software that came with my digital camera, and I never got around to installing it on my new PC. Still, I just plugged the camera in, and Windows Explorer fucking killed it. In a good way, I mean. Copied all the photos over, named them nicely, and it was just generally a much smoother experience. None of this “tag” bullshit, no dummy folders or backward file locations, no adverts for advanced photo sharing sites, it just got the job done.
I love Microsoft.
