Pretentious Game 2

Hello once again! Continuing on from last week’s Pretentious Game, I bring you Pretentious Game 2 this week.

As a videogame, it is a sequel in the truest sense. It adds in new skills as standard, such as gliding and the ability to absorb a hit before having to restart the level, and new ways to interact with the world, such as buttons which open doors. The quirky levels still exist, and, marvellously, are as inventive as the ones in the first game. It has also been improved visually as well, with shadows behind objects and shaded environments.

The biggest change has to be the dynamic shift in the story behind the action though. You no longer collide with the pink square at the end of each level – at least not at first. And it takes a very real, very “not-at-all-figurative” turn towards the end as well.

I urge you to try this game yourself, it is a unique experience. Here’s the link: http://www.kongregate.com/games/keybol/pretentious-game-2. I get the feeling there is more to this series…
