I saw her across the World

Hello there! I hope you’re having a nice day. I am – I’ve just been playing this cool game. It’s called I saw her across the World and it’s about a red “i” that wants to spend some time with and get to know a pink “i”. You do this one screen at a time, from left to right, a real old-skool way of doing things. Jump over pits and gaps, and onto the heads of enemies to remove them from play and reach higher ledges. There’s not really much else to it than that, but it’s the presentation that makes the game so endearing.

The music is great – so great that I feel I have to mention it, as quite often in these games, the music is perfunctory and instantly forgettable. Not so here. It is stirring and melancholic – which fits with the overarching themes of the game. Oh yeah, along the way you can also find secret hearts, which I – if I’m being totally honest – have no idea what they do.
