Our Honeymoon – Day 4

We had no eggs left on day four and it was a little bit rainy. This made me want to sadface all over the place, but then I remembered it was our Honeymoon, so I stopped being sad and went back to being awesome.

We went to the National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth on this day, and they have a lot of fish in there. We had been there before with Claire and Matt and the boys, but they rushed around and we didn’t really spend as much time there as we would’ve liked to on that holiday, so we went there again, just the two of us. I liked the seahorses, the octopus and the giant squid. They didn’t actually have a giant squid though, but I would’ve liked that best. It was also interesting to read the various murals they had up on the walls concerning green issues. Why don’t we utilise sea power more? It’s got to be safer than fracking. Hmm, I’ll have a good rant about that one day soon.

We also had a look around Plymouth – and we found an interesting little shop that dealt with old toys – I sneakily took a photo of some He-Man and Thundercats figures… We also found a giant prawn, but Jane would not put her head in its jaws for a comedy photo.

We took a slight detour on the way home – I say slight, but it added about an hour to our journey. It was quite fun, although I am sad that I never got to see Kingsbridge.

We stopped off in Ashburton on the way home, it’s really nice there. Lots of local shops with genuinely friendly staff.

We had wraps for tea and watched some more episodes of season 7 of Dexter.
