In the last few days I’ve made huge progress on my Gamerscore target. I’ve gone from near 74,000 to almost 76,000 thanks to a couple of proper easy games. I would say shit games, but one of them was quite good. Megamind was horse-shit, but it only took me around 4 hours to get the 1000. Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs was actually very competent, for a kids game. It was full of inventive gameplay touches, had some nice gadgets/weapons to play with, and a unique setting. And when you did get to see a skybox, it was always absolutely gorgeous. I also played Swarm, the aim of which is to guide a swarm of 50 little blue blobs around death-trap filled levels, sacrificing them to build up score multipliers. Mediocre game, moderate challenge.
I’ve seen Megamind, and I enjoyed it, especially the way it played with tropes. I have not seen Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs, but if the game is any indication, I think I’d like it.
