Number one in the world!

I’ve finally achieved my dream of being number one on a leaderboard on an Xbox 360 game!

Yesterday we downloaded Build Me Up Buttercup by The Foundations for Lips, and after our first go we saw that we could easily get to the top spot. We sang it a few more times, each time getting closer and closer until finally:

The key to our victory was activating the Star Stream in unison, and getting those tricky notes we didn’t quite know how to hit the first couple of times we sang the song. We’re not top any more, but we keep our Diamond Cups because at some point we were top of the leaderboard.

I thought you were rubbish like us. Obviously not 🙁

    You should be popstars!

Hey, we only got to number one because the song had only been out for a matter of hours 🙂

I expect we’re down in the 500’s by now!

I am, on the other hand, number 3 in the world on Ruby by the Kaiser Chiefs which is on the original disc (which means it’s been out as long as the game has)! I only missed two fucking notes in the whole song, I was on fire.

It’s still an achievement though, it be at the top at a game, albeit for a short time. The closest I came was at the Xbox Launch with Hexic HD, where I was pretty high in the rankings.

I miss lots, if not all, of the notes so stop rubbing it in!! 🙂

Man, I find it really easy! I only miss bits when it goes from really low to really high, as I need to sing in two different tones – one singing voice for high bits, another singing voice for low bits. Transitioning between the two is a nightmare, but fun.

You can just hum the tune if you get really stuck mate! 😀

Got something to say?
