For years and years, as long as I can remember, whenever I bought a console it has survived until the day I eBayed it. Then, we decided to buy some Xbox 360s for Phantasy Star Universe.
After a while, my first 360 started freezing randomly whilst playing. I took it back to Game and swapped it for a new one – it’s handy knowing someone who works in a game shop. Then Jane’s first 360 succumbed to the Three Red Lights, it was sent to Germany for repairs, and it lasted for a good while until it finally red ringed again quite recently. We sent it back again, and this time they replaced it with a new one.
Now, my second 360 has died, E74 error. It’s had a stupendous innings though all things considered, and I’ve really pushed it at times, with marathon PSU sessions and Halo 3 all-nighters. I hope they send me a replacement rather than a repair job though, as Jane’s 360 that was repaired never quite seemed to be quite right.
