Spring is coming

I walked home from work tonight and it was lovely. I finished at five, got out at about ten past, and it was still light - it's been a long time since that has happened on a Sunday. Spring is on it's way, I can't wait. I can't wait for the rain to stop being so damn frequent, and for…

2014 creativity targets

I think the targets should be the same as last year, but this time I should stick to them. Daily Draw more. Even if it's just a silly little doodle, or a sketch on a scrap of receipt paper at work. Pick up a pencil, pen or stylus at least once a day and imagine something new or recreate what…

600th post spectacular – Questions galore

Ok, so the numbers say that this will be post number 600. I feel like I want to do something special for it, and after having a little think, I remembered that I’m currently reading a book on my Nexus called “Be creative” by Infinite Ideas – it was free and has so far given me a few decent tips. In one chapter it had a list of questions you should ask of yourself in order to understand yourself, because how often do you actually stop and question things?

So, here we are with the questions and answers. I endeavoured to be as brutally honest as I could be and I gave each question a lot of thought. I ended up spraying my thought process on to the page as I was typing, and I did repeat myself a little, so be warned!

WARNING!!! VERY LONG POST!!!

This post is going to have the most tags ever.

I’m an asshole: Part two

When people ask if we have any Grand Theft Auto V in stock I ask which format they would like it on. If they want the Xbox 360 version and we happen to not have any in stock, I let them down gently. Before taking great delight in mentioning we've got loads for PS3. This guy and his wife came…

I’m an asshole

I took great delight in showing people that we had Grand Theft Auto V in stock today - Especially as they cannot buy it until tomorrow. I am an asshole. But I don't care! Posted from WordPress for Windows Phone

Disconnected

I've just posted this on the forum - it's pretty self-explanatory. I feel a little disconnected from you guys. Work/Uni/travelling/moving abroad has happened, and for whatever reasons, we've all drifted away from the forum a little. How are you? How's things? Is your life turning out how you'd hoped? I'm good, married now, plodding along at Asda but I've got…

Where I’m at right now

A mini to-do list, combined with stuff I have done and random thoughts. * I need better hours at Asda, ones that suit me and the lifestyle I want. Must grow balls and speak to manager about it. * MUST STOP SMOKING * And start running. * Knuckle down and draw more. Just draw. Anything. It's all good practise. *…

Creative targets

As I am a loyal subscriber to ImagineFX, issue number 93 popped through my letter box the other day. One of the first articles was about setting yourself goals. How they can motivate you, boost your confidence, and also keep you within the realms of reality: There is a difference between goals and fantasies. I am going to set some…
Level Up!

Level Up!

34. As is tradition - I must say that I don't feel a day older than 25. Jane got me some smelly stuff, a cool Tetris mug that reveals a pattern when hot water is inserted, and a larger memory card for my mp3 player. The James'ses got me a WHSmiths voucher, and Colin and Myrtle got me a lovely…
