E3 is here again

It seems like only yesterday I was lapping up the Halo Reach details, salivating at the thought of Crackdown 2 (which I've still not gotten around to, I do apologise), and falling deeply and madly in love with Child of Eden (which still isn't out - so it's not my fault I've not played it!). And here we are again.…

New record!

Well, I've been this weight before, but not in a long time. I hit 16 stone 7 today. Now, considering that about two years ago at my heaviest I was almost 21 stone, that's quite good. I attribute my weight loss to working hard and being active, and drinking and eating more sensibly. No more Coffee Mate in my coffee…

Reasonably intelligent phone

I went to Portsmouth last week and decided it was time I joined the smart phone revolution. It's so amazing! I'm posting this from my phone right now! I'll keep these posts short and sweet though, as you can't save things as drafts in the WP app, so that's your lot for now. Posted from WordPress for Windows Phone

Not enough time to blog

I've been working a lot recently, so haven't really had time to do an entry. I'm glad the Bank Holiday season is over - when they handed out forms at work for people to indicate which Bank Holidays they could work, I never thought anything of ticking every single one, but it worked out as me doing two six day…

Oh, hi

It's been a while since I've had a bit of a ramble about the contents of my head, so here we go. I'm still smoking. As I've said before, the principles of Easyway are sound, I can see that, but putting them into practise still gives me the fear. Reach is still awesome. I've made ten maps now! I think…

Bargain

I have just bought an Xbox 360 250GB off Amazon. The ones at Tesco have gone back up to £200, and the ones on Amazon have gone down further to £150 - that's even better than buying it at Asda with colleague discount. And, to further sweeten the deal, as Amazon is one of our affiliates, I get a small…

Rediscovery

I've rediscovered loads of great alums thanks to putting them all on my shiny new mp3 player. Mezzanine by Massive Attack, Orblivion by The Orb, Exit Planet Dust by The Chemical Brothers, Psyence Fiction by UNKLE... Sound evokes so many feelings, listening to these tracks, it's almost like I'm being transported back in time and re-living random moments of my…

Somethingfest was a success

Our yearly pilgrimage to Coventry was a success yet again - it was great to see everyone and catch up and stuff. A massive thank you must be extended to Hannah and Karl for once again hosting such an eclectic mass of bodies in their home, it's really appreciated. A personal highlight was singing Everybody Wants To Rule The World,…

Smudge was acting strangely

When we woke up yesterday morning, we were greeted by a cat curled up at the bottom of the bed. Usually when one of us goes to step over Smudge, she bolts, but this time she didn't. Jane got down and had a closer look, Smudge was clearly out of sorts. At first she was holding her leg funny, not…

Don’t think about smoking

These past few weeks have been dominated by smoking. I've been thinking about smoking, thinking about not smoking, hating every time I light a cigarette up and being totally schizophrenic about it all. I want to be a non-smoker, or an ex-smoker, but at the same time I don't feel I can face not being a smoker. I know Allen…
