First update of the new year. Yeah.
I’ve already finished a piece of art – being off work with a dodgy stomach will tend to have that effect. It’s one I started in 2013 but put off for whatever reason – a Zinogre from the Monster Hunter series. Lewis loves the latest one on the 3DS, and I was quite taken with some of the designs. As soon as I saw a Zinogre I knew I had to draw it. It’s an experimental piece more than anything, it goes from pencils, to inks, to being scanned and then coloured digitally – I wanted to see just how it’s done. It was also a nice chance to try out my Christmas present from Jane – A lovely new 10-inch Wacom Intuos graphics tablet. It’s much smoother than my old Bamboo.
