I really need to start writing these posts while the subject matter is fresh in my mind.
About a week and a half ago, Jane and I watched Broadchurch, starring David Tennant (who I loved from Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire and Doctor Who), and Olivia Colman (who I loved from That Mitchell And Webb Look and Peep Show).
Don’t panic, I’m not going to divulge any spoilers as I don’t really want to ruin this for anyone else. I felt the acting was very powerful throughout all eight episodes, but the first two episodes in particular were incredibly emotional – they really nailed the panic of not knowing where your child is. Strong, emotive acting, combined with a genuinely mysterious mystery meant I enjoyed every single minute.
If you ever get the chance to watch it, I urge you to do so, it is very good TV.
