Work is a bit odd at the moment. Loads of people are leaving or possibly getting sacked – I’m glad I can get away from it for a week to be honest. We’re going to Dawlish next week, with Jane’s Mum and Dad. Should be interesting.
Anyway, as a pre-holiday bonus, I went to see Mum, David and Jasmine today.
Jasmine, as always, has grown loads since I last saw her. Not just physically, but mentally too. She’s so bright, and incredibly polite, so very good for such a young girl. She’s quite independent too, running off to play with the other kids in the park quite happily. She’s a star.
We were in the Marlands, coming down the lift, and she dragged me as fast as her little legs could carry me to the Disney Store – she knew exactly where it was and she knew she wanted to go there! I just had to buy her something, and after a quick look around she became smitten with a little orange Nemo plush. I couldn’t resist spoiling her (I don’t see her often!), and she barely let it go for the rest of the day.
Only one more shift… Only one more shift. Then – HOLIDAY.
Looking forward to just getting away from everything.
