Why is the blog called Waves?

Someone asked me this the other day at Threefest. Well, here's the extended version of the rather brief, unprepared answer I gave. I'm waving to get your attention, beckon you over and get your interest. It's like my brain-waves being on show, thought processes being broadcast to the monitor. The variety of topics, undulating and rippling, surging and rolling. Then,…

Guld update II

Roar of Flames. It's getting late, we need to go to bed so we can be up early the next morning. Just as we go into the last block I say "Shall we make this our last run?", Jane agrees with me. We killed some Koltova. We killed a Gol Dolva. We killed some Go Vahra. We killed more Koltova.…

Guld update

After not finding any, or even seeing any drop, I only went and fucking bought one. Annoyingly, they were only around 7 million Meseta a couple of weeks back, but now the 4th System is out no-one is running Roar of Flames anymore! Supply and demand, don't you just love it.

Laia Martinez in Nazi salute shocker

Yikes. Anyway, Shred the Darkness is going well. tokkybot has gone from level 106 to 136, and I'm most pleased with my Ice Shotgun bullet, which has gone from 25 to 42, almost doubling the damage it can kick out. Like most things in PSU it boils down to killing monsters. Lots of monsters. Like Operation: Firebreak and Maximum…
Goodbye, old friend

Goodbye, old friend

One of the causalties of the move was my Edge collection, it was quite a sad moment putting them all in the recycling bin. Whilst by no means a complete set, it was an impressive sight to behold. Looking at the inside cover of E200 brought it all back. My bookshelves used to look like this! And here they are,…

From The Forum: Consoles as Weapons

Hey look, a totally irregular new feature. I was going to call it "Forum Quote of the Indeterminate-Time-Period", but it was too long a name. In the Nintendo DSi topic, Extreme Ironing wrote: I wish videogame consoles could still be used as weapons and remain fit for their purpose afterwards. You chuck a 360 at a guy, sure, it's gonna…
