MGM – DIY Lemmings

As I said in this article, I used to be a big Amiga fan. It wasn't just the games I enjoyed, but all kinds of other things, like trying my hand at synthesising music (which was awful) and making landscapes in Vista (which always, after 2 hours of rendering, seemed to have a tree right in front of the camera,…
MGM – The most pointless thing I’ve ever won

MGM – The most pointless thing I’ve ever won

I was once a keen Amiga enthusiast and I used to read Amiga Format. They ran competitions every month, but I never entered any. David and I were visiting our Father one weekend, and Amiga Format was running it's biggest competition ever, two whole pages of general knowledge questions - the prize was an Amiga 570 CD Drive. As there…

2009 Top 10: Moving House

Twice in one year no less! While not exactly a highlight, I feel it is significant enough to warrant a mention in the Top 10. The preparation for the move started way back in 2008 with me getting rid of pretty much everything I owned. I got rid of loads of clothes, 90% of my videogames and consoles (leaving me…

Moving on Monday!

So don’t expect me to be around on the forum, or there to be any posts on here for a while. Hopefully everything goes smoothly, and we’ll be about again before you even realise we were away.

The Big House is becoming a reality

Well, the lady whose house we want to buy has made an offer on a house she wants to buy and it has been accepted. Now we hope she'll accept our offer on her house, then the wheels can be set in motion for the move to "The Big House", as we call it. I'm hoping the similarities to a…
Goodbye, old friend

Goodbye, old friend

One of the causalties of the move was my Edge collection, it was quite a sad moment putting them all in the recycling bin. Whilst by no means a complete set, it was an impressive sight to behold. Looking at the inside cover of E200 brought it all back. My bookshelves used to look like this! And here they are,…

Moving is so stressful!

We're not quite still living out of cardboard boxes, but there are an awful lot of them around still! Shouldn't be too bad when we get some storage, and there's plenty of room in the loft for stuff we rarely use... So we should be OK. The cats are settling in well, still terrified of the baby though! They'll be…

Moving day tomorrow!

So don't expect me to be around on the forum as much, or there to be many posts on here for a while. Jane's parents do have dial-up, but having been on broadband for as long as I can remember I have no idea how slow it will be! Deleting the odd spambot on the forum shouldn't be too much…

Moving worries

I'm worried as to how the cats will take to a new environment, especially one with another cat, a baby and a small, excitable child in it. They are quite nervous at the best of times, but hopefully the lure of a nice big garden to play in will balance things out.

So, we’ve decided to move

We're moving out of my Mum's house to Jane's parent's house, which is in preparation for a BIG move in the future, when we're moving into a huge house with Jane's Mum and Dad, and Jane's sister, her sister's Husband and their two kids. The move is set for January 2009 and it should be interesting, to say the least.
